The City of Hereford owns and operates an eighteen hole course known as the John Pitman Golf Club.  The course has a Class A PGA professional, GCSA superintendent, and four full-time maintenance employees.  The course hosts a number of tournaments for local and area players.  We recently completed an addition to the golf-shop which can be used as a meeting and relaxation area.

The John Pitman Golf Club has been recognized by Golf Digest as one of the ‘Places to Play’, in Texas. The Deaf Smith County Chamber of Commerce annually hosts the “Tierra Blanca Classic,”  the premier two person event in the area.

The John Pitman Golf Club features a quality Golf Shop with an assortment of the latest golf gear. For the golfer who has to work late, we are equipped with a driving range where you can sharpen your skills or take a lesson from our head professional.
